We work to bring the world of great wines and spirits to Minnesota—and share Minnesota’s vibrant community with the producers behind them. Our passion is rooted in the challenge of introducing distinctive bottles to a food and wine culture that’s always eager for discovery.
Who we are
Minnesotans are a hearty, educated, and well-traveled bunch. New France Wine Company was founded in 1993 to connect Minnesota with the great wineries of the world. We’re a small business with a long-tenured and open-minded staff that likes to push boundaries and explore the pleasures of the table. Prior to becoming the territory of Minnesota in 1849, these lands were part of New France (or the northern part of the Louisiana Territory). We carry wines and spirits from all over the world, not just from France!
New France has a large and eclectic portfolio focusing on France, Italy, and Spain but with an eye toward value and quality in all parts of the world including North America, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, South America, and elsewhere. We strive to work with the top estates in their respective regions. Most of our products we carry are from small, passionate producers who make unique, environmentally sustainable products that express a sense of place.
